We’re excited to announce that our sister company iDE8 has been granted its first UK patent, GB2616873B, titled: “Superabsorbent Polymer-Based Biosensor Apparatus and Methods.”

This marks the first granted patent within Patent Family 1, covering the foundational technology behind our rapid diagnostic platform.

The patented system uses our superabsorbent materials to enhance fluid handling and signal detection—crucial for developing fast, accurate diagnostics at the point of care.

This UK patent strengthens our IP position as we progress through technical validation and prepare for clinical trials. It ensures protection of a core component of our technology in one of our key target markets.

We remain focused on building a strong and defensible IP portfolio to support DRUiD’s mission: delivering scalable solutions for global diagnostic challenges, including antimicrobial resistance.
