In early autumn 2025, DRUiD expanded its R&D focus to include veterinary diagnostics—specifically mastitis in dairy cows.
Mastitis is a leading cause of antibiotic use in livestock and a major driver of antimicrobial resistance in the agriculture sector.
Leveraging our existing diagnostic UTI platform, we’ve begun feasibility work to develop a rapid mastitis detection tool that can inform treatment decisions at the farm level.
This aligns with our broader One Health mission: supporting antimicrobial stewardship across both human and animal health. Initial lab research is underway, with prototype development and field trials planned for 2026.
